Can't connect to server
Greg,
I can't connect using my ip and port or dns name and port.
When I try IP and port in my browser it does not go to my HS. Will connect on the browser with dns name and port. Any ideas. Apple time capsule??

Joe,
Make sure it is entered like this:
67.54.253.163:81
Obviously use your ip. and DO NOT include "http://"
also check for spaces. I thought I looked for that in the code but may not have.
DNS name will not work at present. I think I listed that in the instructions. Has to do with port redirection and basic authentication. I am working that out.
Also double check user and pass.
Oh and you had an old version of the origanal app. Make sure you deleted that from the phone first.
I am using the exact same call structure as the first app you tested so it should log through.
And one final thought. Look in the html directory. There should be a file Snevl_GpsToHS.aspx file right in the html directory. If not then the snevl files are in the wrong place.

Re: Can't connect to server
Did the update. Just turned it on at work. The location it shows for city is correct but the street is in a city 9 miles away!!
Is the old database data still available?

Look at the device code for Accuracy Radius. Tell me what it says.

LOL. Yeah thats why.
let it register a few updates, and then talk a walk. Sometimes if the signal is crappy the radius is way off. Same issue is in Btraced and Google. After a few updates and some movement it will get back in line. Plus Steve ignore raduses that are way off. I believe you can even set it in the config page.
You will see with good signal you will begin to get radius of 5 to 80 all the time. When the signal dips it will jump up but just until it grabs a new signal.
Make sure you update to the latest version. Then give it a bit. Especially after some movement. Then Snevl and the app will get in sync.
Re: Can't connect to server
Still off. It does think I'm in a swimming pool in what looks like a nice neighborhood.
Here's a thought. On a longer trip 1 min is fine. On shorter 9 mile trips like from home to work it will try to connect the last positions. Btraced allowed for distance or time settings (I think). Will this update only on time?

At present only on time. You can select from 1 to 10 minutes.
I chose this for a reason. To do it based on distance I would have to enable the radio to run all the time. Hence bigger battery draw. Plus its a whole different process in ios.
I am working on a version that runs the radio all the time checking distance but its not really what i set out to do. So I need to figure out the variables.
Odd that you still arent getting a better location radius. Run it till you get home and let me know if it syncs up better.
